Atlanta Area Christmas Parade

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We can’t wait for the Atlanta Area Christmas Parade, which highlights everything we LOVE about Cass County. Thank you to TEXAR for being this year’s presenting sponsor! See below for details:
PARADE DATE & TIME: Saturday, December 2nd at 5:30PM.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 28, 2023. To ensure a safe and organized parade, we require all participants register by the deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS.
ENTRY FORM: Entry forms can be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce Office during regular business hours, or participants can apply online here: https://forms.gle/osm6DSVR6WaYSeN5A
PARADE THEME: “A Cass County Christmas”- What is your favorite part of living in Cass County? Is it local school pride, wildflower trails, the lake & state park, local history, childhood memories? Create a float that highlights what YOU love about this place we call home.
PARADE ROUTE: The parade begins at the intersection of Park Street and Main Street. The parade will continue down Main Street before turning north on East Street, then east on Hiram, and then turning north on Williams Street to disperse.
FLOAT CONTEST: Lighting elements should be present as the parade takes place after dark- be creative! Persons age 10 and over may throw candy from parade. Participants may enter their float into the parade and contest for FREE. Our float contest includes a Commercial Division & Non-Commercial Division.
ATV & UTV: Due to previous issues and safety concerns, ATVs and UTVs will NOT be allowed in the parade lineup. We appreciate your understanding.
HORSES: Per the Atlanta Police Department, all horses participating in the parade must provide current Coggins papers prior to the parade deadline. Copies of Coggins papers can be submitted at the time of application by emailing them to atlareachamber@gmail.com. The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce and Atlanta Police Department reserve the right to remove any horses, or their riders, who are deemed unsafe at the time of the parade. An officer will be onsite to enforce these safety measures.
